Monica Wilson

With a life-long passion for the environment, Monica draws inspiration from the textures, shapes and colours of nature.

She uses techniques such as texturing with a rolling mill, casting of leaves and other found objects and forming of silver sheet. Touches of gold add colour and depth to the silver, and burnishing brings flashes of light.

Monica first learned to make silver jewellery as a teenager with her parents, and has developed her skills over the years, learning from many specialist experts, including at Goldmiths College, City Lit and with Jinks McGrath.
