Association for Contemporary Jewellery
Gill Mallett moved from her first career in corporate finance to her preferred status as a designer jeweller, establishing her company, Gillery, in 1979.
With no formal training, Gill followed her instincts to experiment by melting metals and creating environments where something unexpected would happen. Controlling the highly original results provided the inspiration for her innovative contemporary designs in silver and gold. Unique examples of her ‘Snow Cast’ and ‘Fire & Ice’ ranges of jewellery can be found in private collections worldwide.
Gill now works to commission in high carat golds, platinum, palladium and silver, with precious gemstones, and holds one to one ‘melt your own gold’ workshops for personal clients in her Dorset studio.
Gill is also the contact point for the very active Wessex regional group of the ACJ.
